Have you ever had an amazing first interview, where it felt like talking with a mate ... and then on the second interview the interviewer seemed like a completely different person?

This happens more often than you might imagine.  And there's a good reason.  In the first interview, they're just getting to know you, to check that you fit the basic requirements.  But in the second interview, the hiring manager is all business.  This is when they need to decide if you're the one right person to join their organization.  It's decision time.  And as a candidate, you can feel the difference.
