Psychometric Profiling Included
Psychometric profiling is a valuable tool in any recruitment process, which creates a profile of a candidates strengths and weaknesses, as well as their character and preferred working style.
These profiles produce a report which gives an overview of a person, which can be very useful as an interview guide to determine how well an individual 'fits' to your role and how likely they are to succeed.
The psychometric profiles that we use have been picked for the accuracy and validity of their results and also due to how suitable they are for the UK workplace.
These tools are often most useful when conducted before the interview stage, to get a quick gauge of a candidate or to narrow down a pool of applicants.
Here at Aaron Wallis we provide Sales Profile Analysis (SPA), to your recruitment process.
Sales Profile Analysis (SPA)
This profile is a questionnaire that follows the DiSC personality theory of psychologist William Marston, to provide an insight into a candidate from a sales perspective.
The test measures a person’s Dominance, Influence, Steadiness (or pace) and Conscientiousness, compiling a report to suggest traits and characteristics of an individual. The results also offer information on what may motivate a specific candidate, as well as what their sales and management style may be and finally advises which area of sales may be most suitable for the person. Further information on the SPA can be found here.

An Overview of DiSC and Sales Profile Analysis
DiSC® psychometrics is a psychological assessment tool that uses an individual's responses to a series of questions to determine their personality type. The acronym DiSC stands for Dominance, Influence, Steadiness (better thought of as 'pace of work') and Conscientiousness (or compliance), the four primary personality styles the assessment measures.
This work style questionnaire has been created to assist with selecting sales staff. It is based on DiSC® personality theory of psychologist William Marston which is used by thousands of organisations worldwide.
The Sales Profile Analysis has been developed and tested by over five thousand salespeople before its commercial release.
DiSC® assessment is used in many fields to gauge things like work habits, management potential, conflict resolution, and leadership style.
The SPA profile is generated by an online questionnaire where the applicant has made choices between adjectives and how these describe themselves in the workplace. The resulting report is based on these choices.
The SPA tool should be used as an aid for interviewing and always deployed in association with other selection tools such as application forms, a CV, interviews and references.
The conclusions in the report are based upon a methodical comparison against previous respondents and the validation criteria.
You should always consider that the results could have been influenced by the environment in which the questionnaire was undertaken, or through previous experience. Therefore, the tool should never solely be used as a basis for recruitment decisions.
The DiSC® assessment has been widely used for over 50 years and is considered a reliable and valid measure of personality. It is often used as part of a larger assessment to gain a more comprehensive understanding of an individual.
Overall, DiSC® psychometrics are a quick, useful and reliable tool for gaining insight into an individual’s personality type, behaviours, and communication styles.
